stillness

The lens of our eyes, trying to focus on a dizzying world, as thoughts and feelings sway our attention, from the direction of an untold story. A momentous achievement, the optical lens, to shutter and capture what we cannot grasp. Time frozen in glass, as memory bleeds up to the surface, stillness caught in its reflection. The ability to evoke an emotion, to bring us back, to remember what we failed to see. To resurrect the ghost, to speak with its color and form, to listen to its echo, to regain a sense of place and direction. To continue with purpose and poise, as we attempt to focus and hold our lives in the frame of each passing moment.
