The Eye

What watches from under our sleepless slumber, awake to see a world alive, they tell us to sit quietly and watch for tomorrows dream. Patience takes its chair, a day or two, a few years or more. Never left to see, a world that grew with wild eyes, blinded by the characters they told us to be, the replacements we become. So many stories never moved off the shelf.
