Extraordinary, how the far off fields say things. An old testament world, still brimming with new life. An immense passion of trees is born again, bursting up through the hills before me, breathing in the deep music of waves spraying out against the shore, birds in flight, bearing down from the heavens, to sing the songs of the earth. I just a passing observer walking by, with nothing to teach, but much to learn, as I sit and listen to the sermon.
Inspired by: Rainer Maria Rilke, The Man Watching, Some words borrowed to jump start the poem.
