In the pit of hades amongst the bestiarii, rain kisses the broken silence, as the hatred of men distills the sweat from their backs. Enslaved to entertain this rancid state, saturated in pale stone, the Colosseum roars in a thirst for flesh, the lions have not eaten for days. Tearing through its rusty cage, an innocent man is forged to battle, sentenced to a visceral end as the beast takes his neck, gorging on the vein till the blood runs cold. The crowd cheers in observance living vicariously through this moment, raving in exuberant madness, as the beast tongues at what still remains. The empire never ended.
