Electric Sheep

A surge of electricity ignites, multicolored eyes scanning the room, disposed toward the world outside. Consciousness, what does it do for me? A thalamic stimulant, to be grateful or to decline comment, to react in its absence, is to achieve immortality. An interruption of static, on hold, the phone is always ringing, but who is ever there to pick up the line. Absolute inertia or an emigrating singularity, the omnipresent dust obscuring the keys, struggling to find the octaves, the operator has no relay.
