12,000 steps

Tao is a junkie with track marks up the arm, riddled with disease and filled with a shaking fright of the cold night that awaits, without it’s fix, the drug of choice is humanities love and hate, it is something only we can give, if only we would tie it off and plunge ourselves back in that worn out vein, we would feel the rush together as the light coursed through our hearts, to beat as one. The hate is what bores the needle through the thick skin and the love is what delivers the message, reminding us how to laugh in the face of sadness and mourn in the face of pleasure, delivering the spirit from the entangled web of this flesh and bone. Although the ride only lasts so long, then it’s back to the streets; there is much more work to be done.
